What’s in a Name?
Every Sheepdog beer has a story. Some are inspired by the Bow Valley's legendary trails and peaks, others by local lore, and a few… Well, let’s just say small-town life has its own way of writing tales. And since all our beer names are handwritten on a chalkboard, like ever-changing works of art, some of the best names come from happy accidents of our staff.

Juicy Rumour NEIPA
A juicy New England IPA with new world hops, low bitterness, soft mouthfeel, and a burst of tropical citrus.

Undercover Hops
- Hazy IPA
It’s hard to trust these days. You never know when someone’s gonna snitch, tattle, or just generally be waiting to pounce while under cover. Luckily, we have nothing to hide…including the fact that this here tropical and citrusy hazy pale ale was originally intended to be the Juicy Rumour. But, between fate, and mash volume recipe scaling (we’re still blaming fate), it wasn’t meant to be - and instead we ended up with this summery and delightfully crushable pale ale.

Swig and a Miss
- Lager
Our first batch of beer brewed in Cochrane!
Step up to the plate - take a swing. Maybe it’ll connect…maybe it’ll wiff. Or maybe you’ll accidentally create a really delicious lager with snappy hop character, honey-like malt sweetness, and a crisp finish. Starting out life intended to be our first batch of Kolsch in Cochrane, we instead ended up with our first seasonal. But even though it missed its intended target, this lager is certainly a hit in our eyes.

Bluebird
-Cold IPL
T'Berta. It's known for many things. Cowboys. Dinosaurs. Cowboys riding dinosaurs. But maybe most of all is that we're quintessential big sky country. There's little that refreshes the soul more than a crisp, clear Bluebird day, and even less that refreshes the body more than an equally crisp and clear India Pale Lager. Rife with a big dose of Dolcita hops, this fruity and playful lager will have your head firmly in the clouds (which don't actually exist, due to that aforementioned Bluebird day)

Racquet Deuce
- Strawberries & Cream Sour
Utilizing a hop-derived extract to bring heaps of strawberry goodness to the table, in combination with lactose and vanilla for that creamy, dessert-like character, this sour is sure to cause a little bit of a "racquet" amongst the beer-loving community.

Hazed and Confused
- Hazy IPA
Whoa, what's that? A hazy IPA with tropical fruit notes and a moderate level of bitterness. No need to be confused. The faintest whiff of biscuit on the backbone is supported by a large presence of tropical fruits, including passion fruit, coconut, pomegranate, lime, guava, and mango.

Island Time
-West Coast Pilsner
Taking a selection of classic west coast hops alongside a touch of crystal malk, and combining them with a classic, clean, crisp pilsner was an inevitability, bringing two of our favourite styles colliding together in a flavourful, but endless quaffable fashion.

Miscoozi
-Italian Pilsner
Classic German precision with a little Italian attitude. This crisp, dry-hopped pilsner delivers notes of juniper, black tea, lemongrass, and bergamot — bright, balanced, and effortlessly drinkable. Lightly dry hopped for just enough flair to keep things interesting.

La Brume
- French Blanche
Light, fresh, and full of charm, La Brume brings a little Parisian flair to your pint. This French-style wheat beer pours hazy and golden, with bright notes of orange, coriander, gooseberry, and white wine grape, rounded out by a whisper of spice.
Crisp, effervescent, and just a little bit flirty — the kind of beer that says bonjour before you've even taken your first sip.

Our Mango Milkshake IPA is back and ready to make the jump to lightspeed. Bursting with ripe mango, a touch of vanilla, and balanced hops, this brew is creamy, juicy, and smooth thanks to a hint of lactose in the body. Tropical, indulgent, and ready to satisfy IPA lovers and fruit-beer fans alike. This is the way.

Crispy, zesty, and just a little salty — this margarita-inspired Mexican lager is the ultimate trail-side crusher. Bright lime, a clean biscuity finish, and just enough saltiness to make it dangerously crushable. Built for big days on the trails.

-Dry Irish Stout
Smooth, creamy, and straight to the point. This Nitro Irish Dry Stout pours with a velvety head and delivers roasted malt character with an easy-drinking finish. Some people bring spreadsheets to work. We prefer stouts.

-Orange Creamsicle Milkshake IPA

Tart, tangy, and unapologetically desserty — this sour combines zesty lemon peel with creamy milk sugar and vanilla for something that drinks like a scoop of lemon sorbet in a glass. Bright, refreshing, and dangerously easy to finish.

Morning Glory
-Cream Ale
Coffee meets beer in this light-bodied cream ale, layered with vanilla, toffee, and honey notes. A subtle caffeine kick (about 5-10% of a cup of coffee per pint) makes this the rare beer that works just as well at sunrise as it does at sunset.

Crafted in collaboration with Sunny Cider using 100% Canadian apples, fresh pineapple juice, and a healthy dose of habaneros — this tropical cider is juicy and bright with just the right amount of heat. Close your eyes and you're halfway to a beach somewhere warm.

Crisp, clean, and proudly Canadian. Brewed in partnership with The Nick Project as a tribute to our friend Nick Arsenault, this light lager delivers lemongrass, a hint of grapefruit, and a refreshingly snappy finish. Good beer, good times, good friends.

Kia Ora
-New Zealand Pale Ale
A little taste of New Zealand, without the long-haul flight. This soft, sessionable hazy pale ale is loaded with Kiwi hops — Pacifica and Nelson Sauvin bring white grape and honeydew, layered with chamomile, honey, and a gentle herbal finish. Floral, fruity, and dangerously easy drinking.
"Kia Ora" means good health. Around here, we'll translate it to: yeah, one more please.

Hot Rod
- Pale Ale
Don't let the 3.4% fool you — this experimental hop pale ale is a full-on flavour bomb. Brewed with rare HBC hops and Kveik yeast, it delivers tangerine, peach, dry white wine, and a hint of prosecco in a light, aromatic package. All the thrills, easy on the throttle.
