What’s in a Name?

Every Sheepdog beer has a story. Some are inspired by Canmore’s legendary trails and peaks, others by local lore, and a few… Well, let’s just say small-town life has its own way of writing tales. And since all our beer names are handwritten on a chalkboard, like ever-changing works of art, some of the best names come from happy accidents of our staff.

Juicy Rumour NEIPA

A juicy New England IPA with new world hops, low bitterness, soft mouthfeel, and a burst of tropical citrus.

Donnie G Kölsch

A crisp, clean German-style ale with light bitterness and subtle sweet, bready notes — a perfect intro to craft beer.

Long Travel Pale Ale

A balanced new world pale ale with bright citrus and punchy flavour, wrapped in a smooth, medium-light body.

Kelsey’s West Coast IPA

Bottle Rocket

Loaded with classic West Coast hops, this crisp, dry, and lightly bitter pale ale is a nod to our secret mountain hideaway in Dead Man’s Flats. Built for good times and zero fear, because seasons don’t fear the Reaper, and neither should you.

Heart Mountain Hazy

Brewed with animal lovers in mind, this hazy pale ale is bursting with tropical notes of pineapple, mango, and guava. Soft, juicy, and feel-good in every sense, it’s a beer you can enjoy while supporting a cause close

La Noire
-Cascadian Dark Ale

Bold and brooding, this Cascadian Dark Ale blends the aggressive, piney hop punch of a big IPA with the smoky, robust depth of a stout. Dark, complex, and a little edgy, it’s the kind of beer that brings out your inner poet after a few sips.
