What’s in a Name?

Every Sheepdog beer has a story. Some are inspired by Canmore’s legendary trails and peaks, others by local lore, and a few… Well, let’s just say small-town life has its own way of writing tales. And since all our beer names are handwritten on a chalkboard, like ever-changing works of art, some of the best names come from happy accidents of our staff.

Juicy Rumour NEIPA

A juicy New England IPA with new world hops, low bitterness, soft mouthfeel, and a burst of tropical citrus.

Donnie G Kölsch

A crisp, clean German-style ale with light bitterness and subtle sweet, bready notes — a perfect intro to craft beer.

ABV 4.4%

Long Travel Pale Ale

A balanced new world pale ale with bright citrus and punchy flavour, wrapped in a smooth, medium-light body.

Kelsey’s West Coast IPA

A classic West Coast IPA bursting with citrus, pine, spruce, grapefruit, and woody notes from old-school North American hops.

Coconut Porter

A rich, tropical porter with creamy coconut layered over chocolate, biscuit, and toasted malts.

Grapefruit
Pilsner

A crisp Czech-style lager with a zesty twist. Bright notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, and a touch of honey make this one snappy, balanced, and oh-so-refreshing.

Oktoberfest
-Marzen

This medium-to-light bodied, malt-forward lager is conditioned for 10 weeks to deliver a smooth, crisp sip with layers of caramel, toasted biscuit, brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Day of the Shred
-Margarita Cerveza

Light, crisp, and endlessly crushable, this easy-drinking brew brings a refreshing squeeze of lime and a hint of salt.

Get Lost
-Grapefruit IPA

Bursting with citrus-forward hops, grapefruit, and orange peel, this hazy brew is as refreshing as a trail-side breeze. A soft, juicy body with hints of pine and bright zest makes it both vibrant and effortlessly crushable.

Geezer Pleaser
-Amber Rye Lager

A beer to pique the interest of enthusiasts, while also pleasing those geezers firmly rooted in tradition. It's a spicy, toasty, crisp and dripping with caramel notes.
